  Awful estate agents
  
  Started renting from this company in 2016. Got off to a bad start. Found the staff patronising. My brother drove me to sign the Rental agreement and sat in the meeting. The agent just spoke to my brother throughout, even though it was me renting the property, not him, which I found rude.
  
  The agent made a point of telling the property I was renting may have a problem with damp, mould and condensation, but if mould occoured, she told me it wouldn’t be a problem, just wipe with a cloth.
  A couple of months in , all the wardrobes were covered in mould, the wallpaper was ripping because it had been wiped down so much. In my opinion , they should have rented the property on the condition it was in. Over a year after I moved in, the landlord and agency decided the house needed re-pointing , to stop the mould. Again this should have been done before the property was let out.
  
  The lady at the estate agents I dealt with the most, was not great person to talk. I once told her quite politely, that if work had to be done at the property, I’d like to be at the property, instead of a workmen been given the keys. She then started ranting , asking what I was saying about her contractors. I was just saying , i don’t like strangers walking around my home.
  
  When I decided to leave this property, I needed a reference from this estate agents, just to say I paid my rent on time. Some thing that i’d done every month without fail. Without this I couldn’t rent another property. They refused to give me a reference until o gave my notice. I explained I can’t give my notice til I get the reference.
  
  Luckily my new estate agents work around brookland rents being difficult.
  
  Horrible estate agents, with horrible people working for them. Would never use them again
