- Alexander Coy Review added: 2018.05.29★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Sadly I was thrown of the counselling diploma course four weeks before the end of successfully completing my diploma. I look after my sick mother and was instructed to leave until my mother had died. My mother is thankfully still alive, but having experienced Swarthmore's internal complaints procedure first hand, I would advice anyone thinking of embarking on the diploma to seriously consider how this course is run and managed. There were no systems in place to deal with a breakdown in relations between the course tutor and students and many of the students on my course had to leave unexpectedly before the exams.
This is obviously my own personal experience and the education centre itself does good work for the community, but in terms of offering an academic and professional diploma course, the only one it does offer, my experience was highly stressful and the experience I received has felt inhumane and very distressing.
I chose this college because of its 'friendly learning ethos', but I have been offered no compassion or understanding, simply thrown off a course with my refund and no qualification.
