- Richard Frank Review added: 2018.10.06★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆Basic boozer + food. The Woodcock whilst having a prominent location lacks luster and attention to detail. The beer choices are really limited but the quality is good though not always a full pint measure served. Food quality is low, the literature promotes their sizzling dishes however the steak I was served despite being one of the highest priced dishes on the menu was the toughest meat I have endured in a long time. The favours were there but felt like an extreme sport competition to finish it. After we had finished it took an age to get the table cleared, as well as several others. Will stop in for a pint but last time we eat here.

All in all worth a visit if its not far out of the way, but I wouldn't make this a destination journey for the food.
